CRYSTAL SERUM LIGHT


Crystal Serum Light is the prosumer version of the world famous Gtechniq Accredited Detailer only Crystal Serum - a coating so hard that if applied incorrectly can only be removed by using 1,500 grit sand paper.     
 
Crystal Serum Light offers 80% of Professional Serum’s performance, but if applied incorrectly can be machine polished from your vehicle’s paintwork.           
 
When it comes to adding gloss, resisting swirls, contaminant and dirt repellency, Gtechniq Crystal Serum and Serum Light are the pinnacle in paint protection.

Serum Light forms an ultra-durable, high-gloss, slick to the touch, chemically bonding inorganic layer of 9h optically clear ceramic.  Once applied, gloss levels will remain in the upper 90th percentile for significantly longer when compared to traditional paint protection products, and cleaning your car will be a breeze.

The high density ceramic layer is resistant to chemicals ranging from pH2 - pH12.  This characteristic also makes bonded contaminants such as tree sap, tar, and hard water spots, easy to remove.

Unlike mainstream wax and organic polymer coatings, Serum and Serum Light can resist much higher and lower temperatures.  They resist temperatures as low as -40o to as high as +250o C.

APPLICATION:

- To apply Crystal Serum Light (CSL) make sure your vehicle is indoors and can stay indoors for 12 hours after application, do not apply in direct sunlight
- Only apply the product at a temperature between 5°c and 25°c
- Shake well and wear gloves
- Wash and decontaminate your paintwork thoroughly prior to application. If required, polish your paintwork, either by machine or hand, to remove any imperfections
- Spray Gtechniq Panel Wipe on a Microfiber towel and wipe down each panel in small sections
- Soak the application pad with 3 full measures of CSL from the pipette and work the liquid into the pad to get an even saturation
- Replace the lid on the bottle and set aside – do not keep the bottle in your hand as this promotes premature curing
- Apply in overlapping strokes to an area roughly 2ft by 2ft, or work to the bodylines of the vehicle
- Immediately remove residue with a microfiber towel – you may need to buff the same area several times, but avoid doing it with too much force. We recommend the use of 2 cloths at any one time. Make sure the cloths are rotated during residue removal to prevent CSL curing in the cloth - this can make buffing residue difficult
- Inspect the surface for residue with a bright, diffused light source
- If you remove residue and it cures fully you should polish the area and reapply CSL
- As soon as you finish, put you microfiber towels in water, wash and dry them as soon as possible
- Wait approximately 2 hours after applying CSL to apply Gtechniq EXO Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating, or Gtechniq C2 Liquid Crystal Ceramic Sealant
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Use within 3 months of opening


EXO V4

EXOv4 delivers a hard film that makes water-spots easy to remove, offers great resistance to all wash chemicals and can help withstand micro-marring. It produces a high-gloss, warm-looking, extreme hydrophobic finish.

EXO delivers a consistent film that is more durable and resistant to road salt and wash chemicals than its predecessors. Application is easy, with a slow flash-off time, giving more time to achieve a perfect finish.

All of the above combined with the introduction of a good degree of swirl resistance means EXOv4 represents a major leap forward in Last Surface Protection (LSP) technology.

APPLICATION:

- EXOv4 can be applied as a standalone sealant or as a top layer for Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer or Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (CSL) – we recommend applying C1 or CSL as a base coat for easy to mark and dark paints
- If you are applying over C1, EXOv4 should be applied a minimum of 4 hours, but less than 12 hours, after you finish the C1 application
- If you are applying over CSL, EXOv4 can either be applied straight away starting the process at the same place you did with CSL. For best results wait two hours before applying to let the product flash-off longer
- Ensure that your vehicle is out of direct sunlight but warmer than 5 degrees celsius, is completely dry and will stay dry for at least 12 hours after application
- Wipe down all surfaces using Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a microfiber towel (apply the Panel Wipe to the towel and buff – not directly to the panel) – if you are applying over newly applied C1 or CSL, this step is not required
- Shake the bottle well and wear gloves
- Prime the applicator evenly with a good amount of product so that the pad is damp
- Apply with applicator provided in overlapping strokes to a small panel or half a large panel. Wait 1 to 2 minutes after applying to a panel and buff with a microfiber towel, followed by a second microfiber towel to remove any smearing, leaving the surface slick
- Once you have finished coating your vehicle we recommend repeating the process starting from the same place as you did for the first layer and coating panels in the same order so that you coat your entire vehicle with two layers of EXO
- Allow the coating to cure for at least 12 hours before getting wet
- After application we recommend that you do not wash the car for at least a week
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Use within 3 months of opening
